Reviews For Qvar

I have always been allergic to various irritants all my life. It was 4 yrs ago that I was diagnosed with asthma. Ever since that, I have been using diiferent medicines to control it. The doctor told me that allergy and asthma never go away but are always controlled. We mostly try to prevent the exacerbation. I was advised QVAR by my doctor. He said it is a steroid and helps prevent the disease. I use it twice daily: One puff in the morning and one in the evening. It has proved to be useful for me. I have not experienced any full blown attacks after its use.

Good for the lungs
I use to have my asthma triggered every time the season changed or I tried my cardio workout. I felt it hindered with my life style. I could not go for hiking as well. I feel much better after using this inhaler. Although I sometimes have to use albuterol as it is needed when the attack kicks in. qvar being a steroid gave me oral thrush the first time I used it. I used an antifungal gel for the treatment of it. I now regularly rinse my mouth after the use.

  1. Patricia Palmisano says

I am Tom. My wife is Patricia Palmisano and has had her allergist write her a prescription for QVAR® (beclomethasone dipropionate HFA) 80mcg. She has recently retired which has both of us on retirement limited income. She has not filed for her social security yet but does have AARP advantage plan, United Health care, which is her Medicare policy. She went to the local CVS that we buy through with a card from her doctor from your company that said she would have only a $15 a month co-pay. They said they could not accept the card and that her co-pay would be $211. I know that on the card it says that if some one is on Medicare that they could not get the discount. What I am asking is if there is any program that you have that Pat can get to help us with this high copay? Is there a generic that would be cheaper? Is there another equally effective product that you make that would be cheaper?
Thank you so much for your time and consideration in this matter. Tom Palmisano
