I had vaginosis caused by bacteria and my doctor prescribed this drug for me after Ampicilin had caused me some severe bouts of nauseating. The first day I had some stomach upset and some light dizziness which went away in the first day. I was given a dose of two tablets a day for eight days, each of tablets taken singly at a time. The doctor advised me to take the drug an hour or two before a meal since I was using the Flagyl extended release kind. The second day I did not encounter any side effects and noticed my condition had improved considerably by the third day. It is really effective and has worked out for me.

I took Flagyl when I had a severe case of stomach bacteria causing me unceasing diarrhoea. I was afraid of it first thinking it could only worsen the situation especially being a strong antibiotic.
