What is bacterial vaginosis?
Bacterial Vaginosis is typically a mild to moderate bacterial infection of the vagina. Bacterial balance is not right in women with bacterial vaginosis and there is more “bad” bacteria than “good” bacteria, causing a vaginal infection. Though many times, bacterial vaginosis will go away on its own, it is best to have it diagnosed and treated to avoid possibly more severe problems that can result from untreated bacterial vaginosis. You may wish to have a physician diagnose your condition if you suffer from a foul, vaginal odor or itching in the vaginal area that does not subside. However, it is very common that those with bacterial vaginosis are asymptomatic, meaning they noticed no symptoms. Bacterial vaginosis is most common in women who are sexually active and, typically, have more than one sexual partners.
Treating Bacterial Vaginosis Successfully
Clindesse was prescribed for my vaginal infection and it successfully cleared up my issues immediately. It is only one dose; it wasn’t too bad to use and didn’t take a lot of time before the symptoms subsided. The drug does make condoms possibly ineffective so you need to be aware of this; however, otherwise, there is very little inconvenience to using Clindesse and it certainly is better than having the bacterial vaginosis.
